Su pr\u00e1ctica gira en torno al uso de grandes lienzos crudos y pigmentos sin procesar, permitiendo que la fluidez del agua dicte el resultado del color y su interacci\u00f3n con la tela. Pintora, para nada. A los cinco a\u00f1os empec\u00e9 a tocar el viol\u00edn y me obsesion\u00e9 con la m\u00fasica. Estudi\u00e9 en una escuela de m\u00fasica hasta los quince, donde tocaba piano, viol\u00edn, y ten\u00eda clases de orquesta, coro, todo eso. Estaba muy metida en la m\u00fasica. Me encantaba componer en el piano, pero no me gustaba el sistema cl\u00e1sico de ense\u00f1anza. Acab\u00e9 muy cansada de eso. Ahora entiendo por qu\u00e9: quiz\u00e1s el jazz me hubiera ido mejor, algo m\u00e1s libre o creativo. Pero no me gustaba estudiar lo mismo una y otra vez.        <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mis padres son pintores, as\u00ed que tal vez estuve evitando la pintura durante muchos a\u00f1os. Pero al final surgi\u00f3 de forma muy natural. Nunca pens\u00e9 que fuera algo serio. Simplemente pintaba por mi cuenta, sin mostrarle a nadie. M\u00e1s adelante pens\u00e9: quiz\u00e1s esto es lo que quiero hacer, y empec\u00e9 a tomarlo m\u00e1s en serio.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-x-large-font-size\">\u201cLos colores me obsesionan\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo llegaste al proceso que usas actualmente?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El otro d\u00eda \u2014porque tengo un estudio nuevo\u2014 estuve revisando viejos cuadernos y libretas de cuando ten\u00eda 16, y me di cuenta de que llevo a\u00f1os haciendo acuarela. La t\u00e9cnica ya ten\u00eda mucho sentido desde entonces, aunque no lo notaba. Siempre me interes\u00f3 hacer pinturas viscerales, del momento, desde lo que sent\u00eda ah\u00ed mismo. No me interesa trabajar en algo que tome mucho tiempo.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde el inicio hac\u00eda pinturas que surg\u00edan en el momento. Era m\u00e1s sobre la sensaci\u00f3n y la textura del lienzo, c\u00f3mo se expande la pintura con tanta agua. Creo que tambi\u00e9n tiene que ver con que tengo un poco de d\u00e9ficit de atenci\u00f3n. As\u00ed que era pr\u00e1ctico ponerme un l\u00edmite de tiempo para concentrarme de verdad, estar presente mientras pinto, sin distracciones. Fotograf\u00edas de Natalia Puras y Marta Rubio.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo llegaste a la paleta de colores por la que se reconoce tu obra?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los colores me obsesionan. Al principio, quiz\u00e1s no ten\u00eda una paleta tan definida, pero con el tiempo te clavas con ciertos tonos. Algunos d\u00edas siento que tengo una paleta clara, pero otras veces no tanto. Tiene mucho que ver con c\u00f3mo me siento ese d\u00eda o en ese periodo. Por ejemplo, el a\u00f1o pasado hubo un momento en que el rosa me repel\u00eda, y no me gusta tener tab\u00faes. As\u00ed que trat\u00e9 de hacer toda una exposici\u00f3n en rosa e intent\u00e9 apropiarme de ese color, llevarlo a mi campo y hacerlo funcionar dentro de mi obra. Todav\u00eda hay colores que me repelen, pero quiero intentar integrarlos en el futuro.       <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-x-large-font-size\">\u201cNo s\u00e9 c\u00f3mo llego al estado mental creativo adecuado. Sigue siendo un misterio para m\u00ed, y eso es lo que lo hace interesante\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo entras en el estado mental adecuado para pintar?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No s\u00e9 c\u00f3mo llego al estado mental creativo correcto. Sigue siendo un misterio para m\u00ed, y eso es lo que lo hace interesante. Es un momento muy misterioso. A veces siento que soy como un canal y que no pongo mi ego en la pintura, como si algo me dictara lo que tengo que hacer. Y es cuando salen las mejores obras. Pero si estoy demasiado en mi cabeza y pienso demasiado, la pintura se arruina. Es dif\u00edcil saberlo. Solo hay que ir al estudio e intentarlo. Si tienes un buen d\u00eda, genial. Por eso pinto sobre lienzo crudo sin tensar. Si sale mal, lo puedo enrollar y guardarlo donde nadie lo vea. Y ya paso al siguiente. Si pienso \u201cesto tiene que salir muy bien\u201d, normalmente es un desastre.
