El cuerpo est\u00e1 presente tanto de forma directa, a trav\u00e9s de la imagen, como indirectamente, mediante el material y el proceso. La figura femenina aparece de forma recurrente, no como reflejo de c\u00f3mo somos vistas por otros, sino como manifestaci\u00f3n de las m\u00faltiples formas en que nos percibimos a nosotras mismas. Foto de Studio Chiripa, cortes\u00eda de Olivia Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El t\u00edtulo de esta exposici\u00f3n \u2014<em>Woman in a Rowboat <\/em>(Mujer en un bote de remos)\u2014 proviene de la pintura hom\u00f3nima realizada por Willem de Kooning en 1965. La frase describe una escena que el artista apenas sugiere; en su lugar, la obra representa una figura gestual y ambigua en un entorno igualmente indeterminado. Es una representaci\u00f3n de una persona hecha por otra, que revela muy poco sobre su sujeto. Sin embargo, la narrativa de la pintura \u2014una mujer sola, a la deriva\u2014 ofrece una imagen en la que podemos vernos reflejadas. En el bote, podemos estar ancladas o a la deriva, listas para volver a tierra o para aventurarnos m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del horizonte.
