Anclada por pinturas nuevas que expanden su pr\u00e1ctica de la abstracci\u00f3n hacia la imagen figurativa, la muestra tambi\u00e9n incluye obras donde el gesto y la marca cargan o disuelven representaciones. En la mitolog\u00eda griega, sus estrellas\u2014puntos de luz en la noche\u2014forman un altar. Las constelaciones, un motivo recurrente en la obra de Moritz, ofrecen una met\u00e1fora precisa para nuestro impulso de encontrar im\u00e1genes donde quiz\u00e1 no las hay, de cargar puntos abstractos de luz con narrativas culturales e hist\u00f3ricas. La pr\u00e1ctica de Moritz explora c\u00f3mo surge el significado a partir de la tensi\u00f3n entre abstracci\u00f3n y representaci\u00f3n, permiti\u00e9ndonos ver y nombrar lo que est\u00e1 frente a nosotros, al tiempo que da forma a recuerdos, ideas y experiencias que escapan a las palabras\u2014ya sean individuales o colectivos, fugaces o atemporales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las obras en exhibici\u00f3n\u2014diversas en tema, estilo y escala\u2014reflejan la capacidad de Moritz para orquestar m\u00faltiples lenguajes visuales en expresiones precisas y singulares. Sus nuevas pinturas empujan los ritmos entrecortados y fluidos de su abstracci\u00f3n hacia la imagen, mientras que otras utilizan el gesto y la marca para complejizar u ocultar la representaci\u00f3n. <em>Ara<\/em> tambi\u00e9n es el nombre de una especie de guacamaya, loro originario de M\u00e9xico, Centro y Sudam\u00e9rica. Conocidas por su plumaje vibrante, estas aves evocan la paleta luminosa de Moritz\u2014pero permanecen invisibles. Estudi\u00f3 en la Hochschule f\u00fcr Gestaltung de D\u00fcsseldorf y en la Kunstakademie D\u00fcsseldorf. Ha presentado exposiciones individuales recientes en Gagosian (Los \u00c1ngeles), Marian Goodman Gallery (Nueva York), Hyundai Gallery (Se\u00fal), Pilar Corrias Gallery (Londres), K\u00f6nig Galerie (Berl\u00edn), Kunsthalle Rostock (Alemania), y K21, Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen (D\u00fcsseldorf), entre otras. Su obra ha sido incluida en exposiciones colectivas en instituciones como Kunsthalle Halle (Emden, Alemania), Imperial War Museum (Londres), Neues Museum N\u00fcrnberg (Alemania), y Cultuurcentrum (Malinas, B\u00e9lgica).
